File 001

Date: March 2024 Involved Marketing’s First Ever Campaign Launch

The moment we’d been building toward. First proper client. First full campaign rollout. Facebook, Google, SMS, email. Every platform, locked and loaded.

 

Jansen hit publish.

 

The business name was spelled wrong.

 

Not slightly wrong. Wrong enough that the client called within four minutes.

 

We fixed it in eight. We have never spoken of it again. Until now.

 

Lesson learned: spell check exists for a reason. Use it. Every single time.

File 002

Date: January 13th, 2026

Owner Jansen jumped on the team call and immediately announced there were technical issues.

 

There were no technical issues.

 

What there was, was Jansen working from home with an internet connection so bad it could only be described as a cry for help. Pixelated face. Frozen screen.

 

Audio cutting in and out every thirty seconds. The team waited patiently.

 

The real issue, as it later came to light, was that the Telstra bill had not been paid.

 

Probably should have sorted that one out first, Jansen.

 

Lesson learned: Pay your bills. All of them. Especially the internet one.

Date: Early Days The Non-Compete Era

When we first started Involved Marketing, we had a non-compete clause that prevented us from working with half the businesses we actually wanted to.


So we took on everyone we could.


Our very first client was a stripping company.


We ran the campaign. We ran it well. Let’s just say a lot of clothes came off after Involved Marketing launched the campaign.


We don’t talk about this one at networking events. But it’s on our track record, and the results were undeniable.

 

Lesson learned: good marketing works for every business. Every single one.

Date: February 20th, 2026

Owner Jansen has listened to Hot to Go by Chappell Roan six times on the way to work this morning.


He is a 29-something-year-old business owner who manages Google ad spend and client strategy for a living.


He has no explanation for this. He does not intend to stop.


The team has been informed. They are not surprised.


Lesson learned: none. Some things just are what they are.

Date: Ongoing

Now here is the part we are actually proud of.

 

Behind all the late nights, the Telstra bills, and the questionable taste in music, the work has produced results that genuinely matter to the businesses we work with.

 

We partnered with a national salon group across 23 locations and doubled their new client numbers from the previous year. Not a small jump. A real, significant, business-changing number.

 

We helped another client consistently grow revenue by 15% year-on-year. We doubled a service company’s revenue within one year. Not two. Not three. One year. We helped another business grow from two trucks to eight.

 

And we have 15 case studies to back it all up.

 

Across every single engagement, the goal has always been the same. Get involved. Understand the business. Only play winnable matches. Build solutions that increase profitability and give the owner more time to focus on what they are actually good at.

 

For most, that means winning more deals. For others, it means more time with family. Either way, that is what we are here for.

 

Lesson learned: When you genuinely care about the outcome, the results take care of themselves.
