Economy Rental Cars is one of the Gold Coast’s largest, best-reviewed, and longest-running privately owned car rental companies.
While most competitors have become large, corporate operations, Economy prides itself on being the complete opposite offering personalised, friendly, and transparent service that puts people before policies.
With a prime location near the Gold Coast Airport and a loyal base of returning customers, their reputation has been built on reliability and genuine connection.
The Challenge
Despite their strong local presence, Economy’s marketing had hit a wall. Stale Google Ads pushed enquiry costs to $100–$120, and conversions flatlined.
Their website wasn’t converting traffic effectively. They came to Involved Marketing looking for a proactive partner who could help them generate

Our Approach
We began by analysing every step of their customer journey — from the moment someone searched to how they booked, where they booked from, and what made them choose Economy over competitors. We then conducted a deep dive into major competitors to identify what could make Economy stand out.
Website Redesign
We redesigned their existing website with a cleaner layout, removing unnecessary fluff and putting what users actually wanted front and center — particularly on mobile.
Laser Targeting
With people searching for car rentals all around the world, we needed to be specific about who we wanted to target and what geographical areas they were searching from. We identified a particular area with high search demand and focused our efforts there.
Google Business Optimisation
We rebuilt their Google Business Profile, moving them from #8 to #2 for “Gold Coast airport car hire” (1,900 searches/month). This increased monthly calls from 50 to 130.
High-Converting Google Ads
We completely rebuilt their Google Ads campaign, creating highly targeted ads designed to generate as many high-quality leads as possible. Every single ad was uniquely crafted and directed to the improved website.
